“ Burger Barn took me straight back to the golden era of fast food — I’m talking McDonald’s in the '90s before everything got overly processed and chemical-y. The burgers here are hot, fresh, and juicy, served straight off the grill with that nostalgic, real-beef flavor that’s hard to find these days. Even the pickles taste just like Mickey D's back in the day! The fries are real potatoes and cooked to perfection; crispy in the outside. Their only fried foods are French fries and onion rings so the oil isn't tainted by a bunch of different food tastes. This is our new stop-off when driving along 301! Can't wait to come back! ”

“ WORTH. THE. DRIVE!!!! They make the food when you order. It is soooo good and it is affordable. Their burgers, curly fries and onion rings are the best "fast food" around. The onion rings are battered, not breaded. If you're a true fan of onion rings, this is an important difference. Their curly fries are well seasoned. If you get the burger with the works - lettuce, tomato, ketchup, onion - and add the extras - mayo, mustard, pickles, grilled onions...don't eat whilst driving. You'll be wearing much of the juices when you're done. ] Best eaten right away. For us, it's a 30 min drive one way. We order and then eat at one of their picnic tables outside. (There is no indoor dining) Today, we tried their chicken wings (they provide a side of hot sauce) and I tried the chicken breast sandwich - this is fried, not grilled. My mistake for not asking. Had I known, I would have just gotten a burger. It was good, but not as great as their burgers. The wings were fabulous - unseasoned. We didn't even use the sauce. We got the chocolate and strawberry shakes. Typical shakes - but nice and thick. Truly worth the drive and very affordable. We've been going for years and have never been disappointed. ”

“ In a world of generic fast food this place is perfect. I had tried to eat lunch somewhere else and had to throw it out. This is simple classic American food and it’s a gem. I had the burger with everything, I think it was called super natural style, and tots. It’s a cute red barn with a drive through. There is a small parking area and a few tables in the shade. I bet if so lived here I would eat this a lot. Low prices too. GREAT alternative to fast food. ”

“ What a great place along highway 301. I don’t think there is parking or a place to sit, so you’re getting your food through the drive through and eating on the road. No nonsense burgers, fries and shakes. Food was good and something different from the franchise places. ”
